Qualla is a startup from Sabadell (Barcelona) headed by Carles Porta, a father who one day, standing at the gates of his daughter’s school, realised that there was no full guarantee that the children were being picked up by authorised people.
With the help of several schools, Carles studied the situation and concluded that three actors were always involved in the dismissal process: families, teachers or supervisors, and the centre. And that sharing and recording information quickly, easily and securely was essential to ensure safety at the time of dismissal.
Creating a system to solve this problem would prevent phone calls, e-mails, notices at the centre door or possible inaccuracies in the transfer of information. In addition, the traditional systems did not keep a record in which it would be possible to check with whom and at what time the child had left the centre.
